the grey man

I'm Walking.... in a world of music running round my head, but I'm feeling so fine, cos life's mine.

Rescue Me

Long Overdue Album

From "Amidst the blues and shifting greys…"

Personal yet somehow universal.

The Grey Man cross-genre musical journey informed by decades of exploring design, art, music as a player, maker and teacher. I can now invite you into my inner world and my dedication to some of the shared struggles we face as a part of this 'human predicament'. Somewhere above the confusion, isolation, and our instinct to survive this music attempts to honour the questioners, pioneers, opinions influenced by the resistances, diversity and expressions of my era. It has truly helped me to find a way through and I just hope it may in some way aid the mind in its exploration of possibility, opportunity and a positive future.

Constellations collide, genealogy decides…

The Back Story

Powerful, carefully crafted music inviting you on an international journey across genre while digging deep right where we stand.

Roots Influences

Wide Eclectic and World Influences

How good were LP’s played in hi-Fi. Sure, headphones are well cool these days but on the room, loud music is where I remember being moved. An exepected freedom to explore new places, feelings, sounds, investigate new influences and the vast world of recorded music and to hear this ON VINYLL!

As a guitarist there was so much to learn. So many heroes and heroines, and each honouring or flaunting their influences. This is a language of respect and reference.

I’m talking about these great artists and producers behind Jimi Hendrix, Little Richard, Kate Bush, Bowie, Grace Jones, Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, Santana, Crosby Stills Nash n Young and so much more. So gimme , Holst, Donna Summer, ELO, Queen, DaftPunk, Talking Heads, Tangerine Dream, Basement Jaxx and I'll soon be jumpin'!

I'm Walking

Feels as if my life has broken down into a million different pieces…..
